"don't think...feel the rhythm"
Monday evening we had a drumming circle.
18 drums.
17 women of all ages.
1 soft hearted, gentle guy with a lot of soul.
We were playing the rhythms...
he gets up and bend down on his knees,
using his hands to show us to play softer...
"close your eyes...
breathe...
don't think...
feel the rhythm..."
that is all there is to life.
close your eyes...
breathe...
don't think...
feel the rhythm...xx

peri, sometimes i think you write just for me. this is the day i have dubbed "hell day" (it's a long story--I'll tell more of it on my blog next week) and we've been counting down all week. Now it's here, and you're telling me I can close my eyes and listen. Totally.
i want to learn drumming!
how fabulous ~ a drumming circle and
that photo is splendid:)
hugs!
in my grateful dead hippy days, i attended many drum circles. One in particular under a bridge in Washington DC with at least 40 drummers and at as many dancing.
mmmm... magical sounds
I wonder if i can find somthing like that here in my new town?
This sounds so wonderful! I can only imagine the sound...and the connection between you all...awesome!
xoxo
ooooooh, i love this.
this will be my new mantra for the day and who knows how long.
feel the rythm. of life. of self. of all things. because its always there, yes?
drumming here with you, and the rythm makes me want to dance.
love to you today.
